D.I.Y. Dubbing

Various fly patterns require the addition of dubbing twisted onto fly tying  thread in order to build up the fly body. Most dubbing these days tends to be synthetic though natural wool and other fibres are still widely used. Purchasing dubbing (or any fly tying materials)from fishing supply stores can be expensive. To keep fly tying costs down, consider making your own dubbing using craft store yarn and a an old coffee grinder…
