Blanked on Buckskin

by G. Chambers, SFBCA member

This past weekend jurgen, Ray C. And myself headed up to Wilberforce, ontario to do a little ice fishing for Rainbow Trout. Based on M.N.R. Stocking reports, we decided to give Buckskin Lake a try. We got there early on Saturday morning and already several groups of local fishermen were set up on the lake. We jigged with live and salted minnows, white tube jigs and rapalas and only caught 1 small perch. Local people say the lake is known for massive Rainbow Trout so we’ll keep it in mind for the 2015 SFBCA Spring Ice  Out Trip
